Christian Wolff (innate March 8, 1934) is an American composer of experimental classical music.

Wolff was innate around Nice in France, moving to the United States within 1941 & be an Our contries citizen in 1946. He exposed classics at Harvard University & upon graduating took up the teaching post there which he saved until 1970 whilst he began to teach classics and music at Dartmouth College.

When at Harvard, Wolff associated himself sustaining a composer John Cage and the class action in the area of him (Earle Brown, Morton Feldman). His early function includes a great deal of silence. Late pieces typically give the degree of freedom to the performing artist, & a few works, like Ever-changing a Formulas (1973), stand an explicitly political element.

Does'nt to become confused using a German composer Hellmuth Christian Wolff (1906-1988).
